Abstract

When a sound is stuck in a pattern of characters, it is audible. In addition to space, action and effort, air and power are also necessary for sound to manifest itself in the form of characters. 'Manah kayagnimahanti sa prerayati marutam' is said in the Panini teachings.

The air coming into the mouth from the throat is blocked in a separate place in the mouth called the 'place' of the pronunciation.
