Abstract

Bharat-Bharati, a poetic work by Maithili Sharan Gupt, is a powerful expression of Indian national consciousness. Through this composition, the poet attempts to present the prevailing public sentiment in Indian society in the form of a voice of nationalism. In his poetry, Gupt harmonizes the glory of the past, the bondage of the present, and the possibilities of the future, thereby conveying a message of national awakening. Abstract in Hindi Language: मैथिलीशरण गुप्त की काव्य-कृति ‘भारत-भारती’ भारतीय राष्ट्रीय चेतना की सशक्त अभिव्यक्ति है। इस रचना के माध्यम से कवि ने भारतीय समाज में व्याप्त जनभावना को राष्ट्रीयता के स्वर के रूप में प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास किया है। गुप्त जी ने अपने काव्य में अतीत के गौरव, वर्तमान की दासता और भविष्य की संभावनाओं का समन्वय करते हुए राष्ट्रीय जागरण का संदेश दिया। उनकी सांस्कृतिक चेतना भारतीय परंपराओं, नैतिक मूल्यों और सामाजिक एकता की भावना को मजबूत बनाती है। ‘भारत-भारती’ में कवि ने दलितों, वंचितों और शोषित वर्गों के प्रति सहानुभूति व्यक्त करते हुए सामाजिक न्याय और समानता की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया है। साथ ही, उन्होंने नारी स्वतंत्रता और समाज में उसकी गरिमामयी भूमिका को भी राष्ट्रीय उत्थान से जोड़ा है। इस प्रकार गुप्त जी का राष्ट्रवाद केवल राजनीतिक स्वतंत्रता तक सीमित न रहकर सांस्कृतिक, सामाजिक और नैतिक आधारों पर निर्मित व्यापक राष्ट्रीय चेतना के रूप में सामने आता है। अतः ‘भारत-भारती’ भारतीयता की पहचान, जनजागरण और राष्ट्रीय एकता की भावना को सुदृढ़ करने वाली एक महत्वपूर्ण काव्य-कृति सिद्ध होती है।
