Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus. The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound effect on healthcare and other societal system as well as the global economy. This study aims to examine the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy by analyzing key economic indicators before and after the onset of the pandemic. This comparative analysis will offer valuable insights into the changes and disruptions brought about by the crisis, enabling policymakers, economists, and researchers to comprehend the dynamics and develop suitable strategies for recovery.
